The Daniel Boone High School Marine Corps JROTC marksmanship team recently won the Tennessee State Three Position Air Rifle Championship. Itâs the teamâs second year in a row winning the competition, making it the first team in DBHSâs history to win back-to-back state championships.
Because of their success in the state competition, the marksmanship team qualified to participate in three different national competitions.
âWeâre going nationals in three directions,â said Master Gunnery Sgt. and team coach John Daniels. âWeâre going with (Civilian Marksmanship Program), weâre going with the Marine Corps Service Championship and weâre going with the Junior Olympics, so this team has really had great milestones this year in leading the pack.â

525 days with an artificial heart in a Turin hospital before
having a transplant recently, hospital sources said Wednesday.
The year and a half on the Berlin Heart machine was the longest
ever spell for a patient at the Regina Margherita Hospital.
The boy is well and has already been discharged.
Born in Morocco, the boy started to show signs of cardiac
insufficiency in summer 2019.
He flew with his mother to join his father in Liguria and after
a brief spell in another hospital was moved to the Regina
Margherita in Turin.
